 – EFA calls a "spade a spade".  Civil liberties group Electronic Frontiers Australia (EFA) has lampooned the federal government's plan to ban online gambling, saying Prime Minister Howard has lost sight of the global nature of the Internet.

I urge you to contact your local representatives to tell them loud and clear that you oppose any form of legislation that limits your online activities!  (Especially residents of Virginia and Arizona, who representatives, Goodlatte and Kyl, persist in sponsoring these dangerous and misguided bills.)

 – The record $24 million winning ticket for the Maryland Classic Lotto was just presented at Maryland lottery headquarters.  The prize was claimed by 24 workers from the Social Security Administration in Baltimore, who together purchased the winning ticket for last Saturday's drawing.
