Attention Michigan Big Game players: one $150,000-winning Michigan Big Game lottery ticket bought about a year ago is about to expire! The ticket was purchased at Speedway #2326, 44989 N. Groesbeck Hwy., in Clinton Township, for the October 1, 1999 Big Game drawing. This ticket matched the first five winning numbers in that night's drawing: 9, 13, 15, 38, 41 and Big Money Ball number 3. Winning Michigan lottery tickets are valid for a period of one year from the draw date. Since the one-year anniversary of the October 1, 1999 draw date falls on a Sunday, when Lottery offices are closed, the winner will have until the close of business, Monday, October 2, 2000, to claim his or her prize.

Virginia will be changing its lotto on September 17 in order to increase the size of its jackpot. Although it is keeping up with other lotteries that are undergoing similar restructuring, it's hard to believe the small prize for picking 5 out of 6 numbers -- about $1,500.
