 – Lotto South Holds First Drawing.  Lotto South held it's first drawing Wednesday night.  Although no one matched all six numbers to win the $2 million jackpot, there were over 20,000 lower-tier winners.  Lotto South prize levels are determined on a pari-mutuel basis, with players sharing an equal portion of the prize pool for each prize level.  In last night's drawing there were 14 winners who matched 5 of 6 numbers who will receive $1,627.  There were 991 winners who matched 4 of 6 to win $90, and 19,004 winners who matched 3 of 6 to win $5.  Lotto South is a multi-state game that is played in Virginia, Georgia, and Kentucky; the combined populations of these states give the new Lotto South game a population base of about 19 million people.  The Lotto South jackpot for Saturday night's drawing is worth an estimated $3 million, withan estimated cash option of $1.5 million.
