Questions on Mohegan deal raised.  MONTVILLE, Conn. - A ranking member of the Mohegan tribe says two former tribal chairmen were being paid salaries funded by a South African casino operator when they agreed to a controversial hotel deal with the operator worth some $430 million in profits from the Mohegan Sun casino.

Harrah's casino in New Orleans files for bankruptcy.  The partners in the largest land-based casino in Louisiana – JCC Holding Co. and Harrah's Entertainment Inc. – say they are losing about $8 million a month because of a lack of patrons and revenue sources.
Work Card Law in Nevada Is Too Broad, Critics Contend.  A decades-old law requiring police-issued work cards for casino workers has grown to include so many others -- from antiques dealers to dance instructors -- as to be unconstitutional, say critics who are threatening a lawsuit.
