Just a quick note to those who like to keep up to date with the latest internet browser software. You can now download Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5, which is more of a refinement than a radical new version. If you're a Netscape user, we'll let you know when version 6 becomes available; in the meantime you can upgrade to the latest version.

The news continues to swirl around the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act. I urge you to fully understand what's at stake here (sorry about the pun), because the bill is very wide-sweeping, and will affect your internet usage for a long time. Also, if the bill passes, it will certainly pave the way for the adoption of other restictive internet laws. Although laws are mainly written by lawyers and are sometimes difficult to decipher, the text of the entire bill can be read online.
If you have not already done so, you can express your disapproval of this bill by sending a letter to your representatives.

If you value your freedom to conduct gaming over the internet you'd better take notice. The Internet Gambling Bill is getting even tougher, thanks to the Commerce subcommittee in Congress. If you're interested in voicing your opposition to the bill, go to http://www.capweb.net/iccc to automatically send a short mail to your state lawmakers telling them to protect the freedom of the internet.
