Vegas Officials May Roll the Dice on Online Casino. Las Vegas is considering selling rights to its name to an offshore Internet betting firm. Critics fear legal and ethical problems, and hometown gambling concerns object.
For those who use a Netscape browser, the new version 6 is now available and can be downloaded for free. (Actually, free is a relative term, since it takes a while to remove all the annoying desktop icons and auto-start programs that are deposited on your computer.) Anyway, the new version does a better job of displaying this web site than previous Netscape browsers, although still not quite as good as Internet Explorer.

On October 17th, one Big Game ticket worth $39 million was sold in New Jersey. It turns out that the lucky winner was actually a lottery group called Lucky Lady LLC.
