	Syndicate Misses Out on Lottery Fortune.  A school cleaner apologized to other members of his Lottery syndicate Friday after failing to put on a winning line that could have scooped them a share of an £8.5 million (US$16.2 million) jackpot.
	Tennessee grants fewer lottery scholarships than projected.  Tennessee's HOPE scholarship program gave out fewer grants in its first year than state officials had expected.
	Record Oregon lottery jackpot still unclaimed.  Nobody has claimed the record $30 million prize in the two weeks since the six winning numbers turned up on a ticket sold in Milwaukie.
	Satellite failure stops Nebraska lottery ticket sales.  According to Nebraska Lottery, communication between the Nebraska Lottery and retailers was interrupted early Sunday morning after a communications satellite failed.
	7:20 am - Tenn. Lottery Director Gets Pay Cut.  Tennessee Lottery director Rebecca Paul is getting a pay cut under a new plan adopted by the state’s lottery board Monday.

	Minnesota Lottery plans to add new game.  Minnesota's new lottery director said the state will need to introduce a new lottery product if the lottery hopes to meet its revenue goals.
	12:20 pm - Colorado Lottery trims costs by nearly $1 million.  A year after a state audit criticized spending at the Colorado Lottery, the agency has cut nearly $1 million from its budget by revamping its marketing, eliminating jobs and other measures.
	One Florida Lotto ticket wins $60 million.  One ticket matched all six Florida Lotto numbers to win a jackpot of $60 million, lottery officials said Thursday.
	Nebraska Lottery Issues Scam Warning.  Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning today warned consumers about an e-mail scam that tells recipients they have won a prize from the “Nebraska Lottery/Bill Gate (sic) Foundation” and eventually asks for a processing fee.
	Ad blitz fuels Massachusetts Lottery success.  Massachusetts lottery profits are on a record-setting pace this year, but officials are retooling the sagging Keno operation and launching new games to maintain the growth of state-sanctioned gambling revenues.

	12:00 pm - Florida Lotto Soars to $50 Million.  No ticket matched all six Florida Lotto numbers drawn Wednesday night, lottery officials said Thursday, pushing the jackpot to $50 million, the largest in more than a year.
	Colorado Lottery cuts $1 million from budget.  The Colorado Lottery cut nearly $1 million from its $22.8 million 2005-06 budget request in an era when many agencies are looking for additional funding from the already tight state budget.
	Texas Lottery cuts 33 jobs.  In a shake-up billed as a reorganization, the Texas Lottery Commission eliminated 33 jobs Thursday, saying it will save $296,000 annually in salaries.
	Officials Say Oklahoma Lottery Could Take Year To Start.  Oklahoma voters earlier this month ended Gov. Brad Henry's yearslong battle to get a statewide lottery, but the task of making the lottery a reality has just begun.
	Canadian and U.S. officials shut down lottery scams.  Canadian and U.S. investigators said Thursday that they had shut down four lottery scams that preyed on elderly consumers.

Edmonds, Acting Lottery Director said last week.
	12:40 pm - Powerball Jackpot Jumps to $63 Million.  Because no one correctly matched all six numbers in Wednesday's Powerball drawing the jackpot grew to an estimated $63 million, with a cash option of $34.3 million.
	12:00 pm - $32 Million: Florida Lotto Keeps Rolling.  No ticket matched all six Florida Lotto numbers, increasing the jackpot for Saturday's drawing to an estimated $32 million, lottery officials said Thursday.
	Idaho gambling sting nets 50 machines.  Idaho State Police investigators said they seized about 50 illegal gambling machines in a raid of 13 bars across the state, most of them in the Boise region.

	Suit seeks $213M in lottery winnings.  A Mississippi man filed suit last week against the Tennessee Education Lottery Corp. saying he lost a Powerball ticket worth $213 million after the lottery's telephone voice recording gave him the wrong winning numbers.
