• Official says state has power to rein in Indian gaming boom.  In a declaration with profound implications, the chairman of California's gambling commission said yesterday he believes the commission alone has the power to allocate slot machines among Indian casinos.
• House set to vote on dockside gambling.  In Indiana, state legislators spent Wednesday tugging and pulling at a gambling bill containing a virtual pot of gold.
• Bonita man wins three-year lease on a Porsche in online lottery.  70-year-old Gene Coover drove to Fort Lauderdale Saturday to pick up his new leased 2001 red Porsche Boxster with tan leather interior.
• 5:00 pm – Big Game Jackpot Raised to $103 Million!  Due to strong volume of ticket sales, Friday's Big Game jackpot has been raised from $100 million to $103 million.
